The Power of Community

I’ve found 4 common needs among leaders around the world. These needs flow across cultures, languages, countries and just about every demographic distinction you can imagine. These aren’t the only needs, but these are 4 that bubbled to the surface that I wanted to address.

At the time, I was living in Ecuador working with leaders, and the challenge was to address these needs for leaders around the world, so we launched a COMMUNITY.
One of the definitions of the word COMMUNITY is: “a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests and goals”. This was what we were going after!
In 2007 we launched our first Leader Mundial COMMUNITY, with the goal of addressing these 4 needs:
The need for TRAINING: Teaching in specific areas of felt need
The need for RESOURCES: Access to tools, research & tips
The need for COACHING: An ongoing conversation with someone who cares
The need for COMMUNITY: A place to belong, leaders coming together
This COMMUNITY worked and for almost 20 years we’ve learned, grown, multiplied and
Adapted to provide access to these Communities around the world.
The power of COMMUNITY is amazing!
Not only are these 4 needs being met, but deep relationships are formed, leaders and
organizations are being transformed and the impact is evident.
I’m often asked “How do you know these Communities work?”
The answer is simple…. FRUIT.
Jesus talks about seeing the fruit of someones life as evidence of their relationship with
Him.
We see this fruit in lives as well:
Organizations that are healthy, moving in a clear direction and making impact
Leaders who are managing their own lives well and living an abundant life
The families of these Leaders, valued and loved and growing together
Leaders that last… they aren’t burning out and they are excited about their role
We see the FRUIT and it’s proof that these Communities work.
Each COMMUNITY is made up of people who CONTRIBUTE to that Community,
bringing their story, their experience, their passion and their lives to help build up one
another.
There is POWER in Community!
